  The official website of Indian Passport department has issued the following notification.

Revised passport and related fees approved by G.S.R. No. 731(E) dated 28 September 2012, will be applicable from 1st Oct, 12. For details please refer 'Revised Fee wef 1st Oct,12' link under the Press Release on the Online Portal home
